Problems And Their Solutions

Occasionally I will open an email that has a headline news that peeks my interest.

Apparently McDonalds used an AI generated commercial that received so much backlash that they had to remove it immediately.

Although not quite fast enough because I was able to view this commercial and it basically depicted the Christmas season as complete chaos with everything imaginable going wrong.

The irony of this is they weren't completely wrong.

The sole reason I agree with them is because when you are looking for things to go wrong, you will most certainly find it.

Every time, without exception, you will find exactly what you are looking for.

It is seemingly becoming more and more common to focus on travesties verses triumphs. And when you are constantly being programmed this way, it will become so hard wired that you will do it without effort.

Tasks, events, puzzles, any and everything that used to bring you satisfaction in figuring out will eventually become problematic. Which in turn will bring dread, complaints and stress.

Friends I know that used to love the holidays have became bitter and full of hatred for this time of the year because of this.

No pep talk, eggnog, or holiday cheer can change their stance.

But it reminds me of a situation that happened on my sister's last visit.

She lost something that was important to her but to me, I could care less. So as she was frantically looking for it I said nonchalantly, "You will not be able to find it until you calm down. Facts sister!" as I had a smug look on my face.

I couldn't have made a more truer statement.

The problem and the solution are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The only way to find something that is lost is to shorten the gap between the two and it's nearly impossible to do until you change frequencies.

If you are in a state of panic, fear, frustration, anger, etc. you are closer to the frequency of "lost" or "the problem."

When you are relaxed, at peace, with a calm demeanor you are closer to the frequency of "finding" or "the answer."

I hope I articulated this enough so that you somewhat understand what I'm explaining.

Of course, I was able to find what my sister lost within seconds of saying that to her and it solidified my point.

You will not be able to enjoy ANYTHING about this time of year until you have moved from a place of dread to the place of peace.

You will NEVER be able to find that which is lost until you have moved from a place of panic to the place of calm.

Here is one of the most helpful ways you can do this.

Constantly and continuously be in a state of gratitude.

This includes but is not limited to the backed up traffic, the car that's parked over the line, the rude cashier, the man who is basically breathing on the back of your neck while you wait in line, the family that you're not too excited to come for a visit and on and on and on...

Another way that I have found that helps me shorten the gap between the two is I have understood that all things work together for me.

I really live my life with this undeniable biblical convent.

Even when it goes against everything that I want. Ultimately, even if I cry tears of sadness, I still am able to say this and also remain thankful.

This holiday season will leave as quickly as it came but not without reminding us that we have so much to be thankful for.

No matter how many problems arise, no matter what goes wrong, no matter how much or how little we have, the answer is simple.
