TIME DATED INTUITION
A Dispensation of Grace

How many times have you had a thought or an idea and you forgot to write it down and poof it vanished?
Some might shake this off as age getting the best of their memory but I'm not so sure about that excuse.
There have been times in my youth, when memory is at its strongest, that this phenomena has occurred.
I've touched on the significance of writing your vision, goals, plans down in a previous blog but this is a little different. Especially in the aspect of the "art of escape" in other words, Houdini.
How is it possible to have a grandiose idea or thought one minute and the next it is completely gone?
There is a reference in the Bible that I want to refer to. This is commonly known as the "dispensation of grace."
God offers a period of giving you a chance to accomplish something, not only an opportunity to do it, but He also gives you the power, strength, grace to fulfill it.
However, once that time frame has passed, it will nearly be impossible to do it on your own volition.
I would like to think these two things that I'm speaking of are just coincidental, yet I highly doubt it.
Let me further explain. I tend to lead a "fasting" lifestyle. That means that when I enjoy something a little too much, I try and go on a fast from it so that I have control instead of the other way around.
For example, during the pandemic, I started off by having mimosas once a week for brunch. Then I added a margarita midweek. Followed by some experimental mixed drinks. At first, this seemed as no big deal.
The further the shutdown lasted, I was increasing my creativity with drinking alcohol. So for the season of Teshuvah, which is a Jewish season that lasts 40 days, I decided to fast from alcohol.
I remember on the 39th day, I said to my husband "my fast ends soon, so we can go have a drink." The words hadn't fully left my lips and I instantly knew that I had a "dispensation of grace" to make a decision that would not only affect me but my children and my children's children for generations to come.
I need to reiterate the fact that, this was my own choice to make. God was not strong arming me to do this. It was an inner intuition that was gentle. Not demanding, not forceful, nor full of regret.
It was an easy choice to make, although it was going to require a full 360 change, and one that was going against the norm.
I recall, at one point, I had in my thoughts "ok, I can do this but I'll start after I have one last drink."
That's when I knew this was my pause in time space reality that I could easily do this. Had I done what I wanted to do, by having one last drink, my window of opportunity would have been closed.
When God shuts the window of opportunity, you would have to be a strong individual to try and pry it back open.
Side note: I am now 1,252 days without having any alcohol. In a future blog, I will elaborate on some details of this.
The Bible says that God will reveal "secrets" to those who love Him. It also says, countless times, "he that has an ear let him hear."
Which insinuates, we have to be willing to listen when He reveals things to us. If you have a thought of significance, stop what you are doing and write it down.
Don't make the mistake of thinking "I will remember, I will do it later, etc."
I wonder how many life changing ideas were revealed to man, but out of his laziness or self reliance on memory, it is forever forgotten.
Man is God's highest form of creation. We are made in His image and likeness. Our minds are capable of far greater than we know. In order for us to walk in the dominion and authority that we have, we need to fully understand the importance of life.
There are rules and laws that govern us. When we have an intuition to do something, an inner knowing, an impression on our hearts that is intense, know that it is time dated.
