Embrace Change
Embrace Change

Have you ever felt stuck? Or lonely? There are trying times in which we feel as though we are going nowhere fast. These times try the human soul.

When we face these most stressful and difficult feelings, it is easy to begin to look at others in their beauty, splendor, achievements and compare ourselves to an ordinary perhaps not so attractive caterpillar crawling instead of soaring.

Having thoughts of despair can quickly spiral out of control unless we intentionally and purposefully conquer our thoughts and emotions.

Gaining intuitive, conscious understanding of what stage of life we are in, will enable us to embrace the change.

These stages in life are often referred to as "life cycles." Knowing the times and seasons of our lives require wisdom and understanding. The Bible references the sons of Issachar as mighty men because they were "men who understood the times..." - 1 Chronicles 12.

Not having a revelation or an understanding of why things are subpar despite putting forth our best effort and seeing little to no results can easily result in feeling stuck, lonely, frustrated etc.

Referencing the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly is miraculous and has fascinated us for generations. The metamorphosis of a crawling land-based insect into an airborne fairy is the perfect metaphor for change, improvement, and transformation.

But what if the caterpillar became so depressed and gave up hope? What if the caterpillar stayed so frustrated with itself for not being the airborne, exquisite, magnificent creature that it was created to be and it stopped eating, drinking, making its cocoon?

For me personally, I am a creature of habit. Change for me can be challenging to say the least. I have been in an awkward "stage" for several years now. I am not the person that I was 3 years ago and I'm not quite the person that I want to be.

I have goals in which I am consistently and constantly working towards. I am disciplining myself to remain focused and without distractions. I have likened myself to be at a "table for one."

I would be lying if I said this journey that I'm on, at times, isn't lonely. There are times that I question why things are taking so long to come to fruition. I often wonder if I'm ever going to emerge from my "cocoon."

In these times, I have to dig deep and remind myself that "we face in the direction we want to go and we go in the direction we face."

I have to constantly look at my progress and gaze forward not looking back. And I have to understand and trust the process.

Just like the butterfly that is ready to emerge from its cocoon, if she emerges too soon, with the assistance of another, her wings will never fully develop. She will then be unable to fly to the heights she is capable of achieving and sadly she will not reach her full destiny.

Transformation is the process of undergoing a significant change or metamorphosis. It usually involves a shift from one state or form to another, often resulting in a completely different outcome.

This can occur in various aspects of life, such as personal growth, relationships, or even in the natural world. For individuals, transformation can be a powerful catalyst for self-discovery and self-improvement. It requires embracing new perspectives, letting go of old patterns, and embracing the unknown.

In relationships, transformation can lead to a deeper understanding and connection between individuals, as they evolve and adapt together. In nature, transformation is evident in the lifecycle of plants and animals, as they undergo profound changes from birth to maturity.

Overall, transformation is a fundamental part of existence bringing about growth, evolution, and ultimately, a new beginning.

In retrospect, are there situations that you should have "toughed out?"

If your answer is yes, do you think with the perspective given here, in the future will you be able to realize the "stage of life" you are in, seek divine wisdom to guide you, embrace change, overcome and learn strategies to help navigate you through these life transitions?

It is my sincere hope and prayer that you will become everything that you are created to be.
